Description
The Takeoff is designed to jumpstart your surf journey. With a wide nose, high-volume shape, and forgiving soft construction, it’s the fastest, most stable ride for new riders. Unlike thin, sharp-edged beginner boards that prioritize grip, the Takeoff trades a little traction for extra down-the-line speed and a looser, cruisier feel. A true blend between a fast longboard nose and a playful fish-style tail, it’s perfect for building confidence with extra speed and dampening with its unique wood construction while also having fun right out of the gate.

Board Attributes
-
EXTRA DAMPENING + DURABILITY – A term rarely said in surfing is suspension. Choppier water conditions, steeper wakes, foamy lips, or just want a smoother feel. It’s hard to beat the plush ride found in our Koal Classic with wood on the top and bottom. Extra Dampening + Added Durability – Even a softer ride with this added timber construction. The Element Core and Marsh “mellow” also makes for some of the strongest most durable series in our line.
-
SURF – Toss some buckets with some smooth, linked turns inspired by your favorite saltwater surfer. Traditional surf shapes have a thicker profile and a mellower rail/bevel allowing a rider to pivot a turn more from their back foot and are best ridden with either a deeper fin, or multiple fins. Riders usually apply more pressure on the back half of the board and generate more force through a turn. Still very capable of doing tricks on and off the water – just with a fluid like feel.

BUTTON TECH FIN SYSTEM – This patent pending design with over 5 years of development is now proudly available on this Osmo. Typically with a fin attachment system the rider has to generate the force to release the fin. With The Button the energy to release comes from the internal design – at your disposal for an effortless release with a simple press of a button. Enjoy
Accidents can happen–no worries, these fins float. A carbon epoxy layup also makes them our stiffest, most responsive construction
Button Fins are only compatible with surf models using the button system.
